the
antmuffin philosophy is simple: we aim to find a good home
for artistic, cultural, and/or historical objects that we believe are worth
preserving. this broad categorization may extend to objects as diverse as a
several hundred year old book to an alternative zine from the 1990's.
in this vein we take the
utmost care in the handling and shipping of our merchandise. most relatively
flat items (i.e. books, magazines, prints) are stored and shipped in
archival-quality storage bags so as to preserve their condition both at
antmuffin and at their final destination. we encourage customers to contact
us with any questions about the recommended care and storage of their
purchases so as to preserve them for generations to come.
the owner of antmuffin, amy e. moyer, has over
10 years of experience in the arts and a lifetime of experience in collecting.
as an art major in college, she specialized in conceptual sculpture (the many
squirrels of her lawn ornament installation project still rear their plaster
heads from time to time) but more recently has experimented in painting with
non-traditional materials. this first-hand experience in art making and
handling has set the foundation for the knowledgeable care given to antmuffin
merchandise. as a collector herself since an early age (of everything from
comics to snowglobes to original art), she can easily relate to the
excitement gleaned from finding that great addition to a collection.
antmuffin prides itself in a broad knowledge base and
constant interest in learning more about different kinds of significant objects.
we are always open to queries via email or snail mail.
